I hate mornings! For years and years I have struggled with getting up early in the morning. I’m always late to wherever I’m going because I dread getting up and I drag around when I finally do get up. This problem has cause me to suffer in my professional life and even in my social life. I’d love to be one of those people who JUMPS up early in the morning and gets sooooo (stink face) much done but the truth is I work a lot better at night. Oh yes, call me the night owl, baby! I get a lot of stuff done in the midnight hour but the truthfully, the world is NOT kind those who are not morning people. I have tried EVERYTHING- loud alarms, putting the alarm across the room, multiple alarms, you name it! Nothing helped! Not until I found one of the best apps that I have ever downloaded in my ENTIRE LIFE! Enter Alarmy…
This app has saved me! I promise, this is not a sponsored post at all. The opinions here are all my own. I love this app!
works: There are several different settings for this alarm. First of all, there are about 10 different alarm types but all of them are SUPER loud. But not only that, you have to complete certain tasks or your choosing to turn it off. For instance, you might have to take a picture of a certain thing in your house or shake the phone or do math problems, etc. I chose math problem because I absolutely hate math almost as much as I hate mornings. Anyway, I set the intensity to moderately hard and I have to do 3 math problems before I can turn the alarm off. I’ve been using this alarm for almost six months and I have not hit snooze NOT ONCE since I have started using it. It taught me something about myself- before using this alarm, I would get to work and wouldn’t completely wake up until about 1 or 2 o’clock in the afternoon. I would be sooooo sluggish while getting dressed and soooo sluggish for the better part of the day. Doing the math problems woke my brain up and I had to focus in order to complete them. Being focused caused me to make better choices about whether or not to try and sneak in a few extra minutes of sleep in the morning. Before, my groggy, sleepy brain would convince me that I had plenty of time when I really didn’t. Now that I am more focused in the morning, I’m also more focused during the day. I’m able to get more things done. Yay!!
I recommend this alarm app to anyone who struggles with getting out of bed and moving in the morning. I can’t say that I’ll ever fall in love with mornings but I can say that they’ve gotten a little easier to tolerate using this app. Give it a try:
Are you a morning person or do you hate them as much as I do? Leave me a comment!
